The two-day ride kicked off from bcu’s Park Beach Plaza branch in Coffs Harbour at 9.00am today and concludes at bcu’s Gordon Street branch in Port Macquarie tomorrow.
Mr Hartsuyker said it was great to be able to add Special Olympics Mid North Coast to the list of beneficiaries this year.
“All money raised from the event will be donated to the Disabled Surfer’s Association, Mid North Coast and Hastings/Port Macquarie branches, Macleay Vocational College, and this year, we’ve included Special Olympics Mid North Coast as well,” Mr Hartsuyker said.
“All of these community organisations do fantastic work in our community and are more than deserving of these proceeds.
Mr Hartsuyker also praised the ride’s sponsors, including principal sponsor bcu.
“I am pleased that bcu agreed again to support the ride. bcu has been the principal sponsor for each charity bike ride, and deliver vital support to many local organisations,” he said.
“I also want to give thanks to our generous sponsors, without whom this ride wouldn’t go ahead.
“This year’s sponsors include bcu, Telstra, Nestle, McDonalds, Faircloth & Reynolds, HLV Chartered Accountants and Kennard’s hire.”
