Nambucca Valley Toastmasters have been thriving in the last six months. An influx of new members has added a lot of fun and variety to the group’s meetings, which are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at Macksville Ex-Services Club, from 6.45pm to 8.45pm.

On September 9, three members were successful at the Area 29 Competition held at Coffs Harbour. James Dyson was placed first in the International Speech and the Evaluation Speech. Trinh Nguyen was placed second in the Evaluation Speech. Janet Dyson was placed first in the humorous speech and the Table Topics section.
Following this, the District competition was held in Ballina on October 7. Trinh Nguyen received second place in International and Evaluation contests, Janet was second in Table Topics and James third in International.
