Old machinery from military to tractors, blaring emergency services, police, Rural Fire Service, SES and Fire and Rescue, and local service clubs led the charge.
And the stars were as ever the Gift princesses – delightfully tuned out and waving merrily from the back of trucks.

The action continues this afternoon with back-to-back racing at the 64th Macksville Gift – one of the oldest professional foot races in Australia.
Light showers over the park have now cleared and the athletes are well into preparation for the first event of the day.
The program will culminate with the Gift finals this evening, under the shadow of the signature fireworks display.
