The Australian and England teams will do battle at the International Stadium on Thursday and on Sunday in one day matches as part of the women’s Ashes series.
Part of the visit has seen a number of players from the Nambucca Bellingen Junior Cricket Association invited to participate in a net session with the women on Friday – and among those are Travis Hayden, 15, Logan Donovan, 12, and 13-year-olds Will McKinney and Harrison Lee.
“We are really looking forward to it,” Harrison told the Guardian.
Friday will be extra special for Logan who will also celebrate his 13th birthday.
Harrison – who has met Ellyse Perry, a legend of the women’s game, before – plans to challenge the Test stars with his leg spin, while the other three boys are all medium fast.
Australia’s leads the Ashes series after winning the first ODI on Sunday.
