On Saturday October 21 the Life Without Barriers annual art auction returns to the Federal Hotel in Bellingen for another afternoon of art, music and fun.
The collection features an elephant mosaic, a papier-mâché zebra, and wall cockatoo, alongside some beautiful landscape paintings—the perfect chance to pick up a unique piece for your home or office.
The artists, Edward Barns, Tim Harrison, Marnie Russell, Olivia Dean and Guy Gibson, would appreciate any support the community can give for them and their visual arts program.
They have created paintings, ceramics, papier-mâché and mosaics in a visual arts program in Nambucca Heads under the guidance of artists and teachers Susie Peake, Sara Wade and Tanya McQuinn.
Recycled materials and frames have been used where possible, marking another point of difference about this professional art exhibition.
The group proudly reuse, recycle and revamp, enhancing the affordability and the general quirky feel of the work.
The auction is a way for these artists to earn a little for their achievements, and keep their activities going year after year.
Self esteem is high at this exciting time for the artists, and every auctioned work will sell.
Regular followers and the many who have yet to experience this event will be amazed at this years stunning, delightful artwork, some of which will be displayed in the art space at the Federal from October 13.
Come along for viewing and music around 2.30pm on the day, then at 3.30pm, Guy Saddleton will auction 22 works, with others for sale at a fixed price.
The afternoon includes music, provided by Marko, a well known Bellingen blues and roots guitarist and singer.
“For this show I will be playing a selection of tunes from all genres and a few of my original songs as well. There will be something for everyone,” Marko said.
