GOOD-HEARTED sledging was par for the course at the annual Bede Clarke Memorial Golf Day at Macksville today.
The long dry made the course tricky to negotiate with plenty of bounce and run – but the field stayed hydrated as most carts were fitted out with eskies.
The three-man ambrose – for regular and social players – is traditionally one of the biggest events on the Macksville course calendar.
While it was a formal competition, the emphasis was clearly on a good day out for mates old and new.
