With a combined experience of more than 75 years, the three not-for-profits will strengthen services on the Mid North Coast, through Open Arms Care and Nambucca Valley Phoenix’s insight into community needs, and the corporate and clinical support that LiveBetter brings to the table.
A partnership of Open Arms Care, Nambucca Valley Phoenix, LiveBetter and local families, will ensure services remain local, are delivered by local staff, and be of benefit to local people.
Customers, families and members of the community are invited to meet representatives from each organisation to discuss how the organisations can work together to support communities to make sure they benefit from their NDIS plans and thrive under the new scheme.
Customer and family consultations will be held at The Hub, 2 William St Bellingen, Tuesday 15th August 10 am to 12 pm and at Nambucca Heads RSL Club, Thursday 17th August 9.30 to 11.30 am. Topics covered will include maximising participant outcomes, quality service delivery, and ensuring customers and their families identify core supports and capacities.
Nambucca Valley Phoenix General Manager, Melissa Fitzgerald said that we now live in an age of empowerment defined by customer choice – and that’s a great thing.
“Everyone’s needs are unique. It’s why we place our customers’ individual needs at the centre of our work, designing programs and plans specifically for them,” she said.
“We are in the second phase of the NDIS – we’ve gone through the planning and we’re now making it happen. It’s time to make sure our customers get the most out of their plans.”
Nambucca Valley Phoenix and Open Arms Care have been delivering disability services for over 25 years and recognise the advantages of working together to benefit their customers. LiveBetter works with local community organisations across regional NSW to ensure they can continue to provide local services in the face of increased competition and funding pressures.
