FOOTGOLF launched at the Island Golf Club Nambucca Heads with a free ‘come and try’ day.

The event was attended by a large number of families and sporting groups, including the Nambucca Strikers and the Coffs Tigers football clubs.

The game is a combination of the popular sports of football (soccer) and golf.

Footgolf is played with a regulation #5 soccer ball on the existing golf course, using shortened holes and with 53cm diameter cups. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf.

Footgolf can be played by people of all ages, regardless of fitness or skill levels, making it an ideal sport to play socially with family and friends. It is popular for corporate events, all sorts of parties, or simply for a family day out.

The Island Golf Club at Nambucca Heads is the first club on the Mid North Coast to introduce the exciting new game of Footgolf to the area. Play is available every day from 2pm, and bookings at the pro shop are essential.
