The incredible effort included three events which added together to raise the total funding. The fundraising exercise was off to a great start with a concert in the Nambucca Community and Arts Centre with musicians from Armidale led by Julee Andrews who waived concert fees for this cause.
This was followed up by a Big Cancer Council Morning Tea and Music Morning. There was a bumper sale of art materials at this event which were kindly donated by the family of one of the arts council’s members, Rodney Andrews.
The Nambucca Valley Arts Council would like to thank all who supported these events and would particularly like to thank Rodney’s family for their help and generosity.
The Stringer Gallery is now being redecorated and will open again at the start of July. Do visit then as there will be new exhibitions to celebrate the renovation works.
The next morning tea will be on Wednesday, July 5, at 10.30. All members of the community are welcome. There is no charge for this event.
