MACKSVILLE Women’s Bowling Club was ecstatic to have its Grade 4 pennant side involved in the regional play-offs last Wednesday.

The competition at Kingscliffe was formidable, as Macksville was pitted against Ballina, Byron and then McClean.

It was a David and Goliath battle against these bigger clubs and the girls did well, finishing third, with Ballina proving too strong on their way to an overall victory.

The Macksville girls agreed it was a great two days and a wonderful experience and they are looking forward to next year’s pennant season.
