The Unkya Reserve Committee of Management has successfully applied for a grant to construct a permanent, user-friendly sound shell-stage with power, lighting and shade.
The sound shell-stage was designed by Stef Edwards in consultation with the Macleay Valley Arts Council, Stuarts Point Players, local performers, and Nambucca Shire Council Planning and Development.
The grant provided $14,630 out of an estimated total cost of $24,000, and the committee began work on the foundations for the new stage last month. Keep watching this space for updates as work progresses.
