The short film has been accepted into film festivals around the world and has also picked up several awards.
The film follows the local family of Mala, Jennie, Clayton and Chay and focuses on the different ways we strive to achieve a sense of fulfillment in life and the impact generosity can have on our lives, and the lives of those around us. In short it’s a film everyone needs to see.
Popular locally and throughout the Mid North Coast, Kel said she would like to enter the film into further festivals and is asking for just a little help in order to do that.
“I would really like to get this important film further into the public eye – but I am going to need a little help to do that,” Kel said.
“Essentially I am looking for just a little support to get Mala’s Cello into more film festivals around the world. It's been shown in quite a few and picked up a couple of awards … but it costs a bit to keep entering every one, almost a year on.
“I have released the film online for a week – so you can watch it and understand why it’s important – and perhaps help raise funds that will be used to enter the film into further competitions across Australia and around the world.
“They cost usually $50 to enter each, so this campaign will allow it to be entered into 10 more festivals – where it can be shared around the world.”
Kel said the film is a window into the lives of others, and there’s an important message this family can tell us all.
