Two nations recently crossed paths in Indonesia, each seeking to wield influence but with very different agendas. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was in Jakarta to attend the Indian Ocean Rim Association summit following President Joko Widodo's successful visit to Sydney, while Trade Minister Steve Ciobo had also just taken a business delegation to Jakarta.
