Paul is struggling with vitrectomy in both eyes which have been operated on, plus kidney breakdown.
Paul played for Balmain in 1992 and 1993 in first grade before moving to the Mid North Coast playing for Macksville, winning the Group 2 competition in 2001 and 2002.
After the wins, he took over as coach and was successful in securing the 2003, 2004 and 2005 premierships. A record in Group 2.
During the visit, Men of League presented Paul with a polo shirt and cap and will continue to help with his recovery.
Since 2002, Men of League has provided support and assistance to rugby league players, coaches, referees and officials from all levels of the game and their families
North Coast Men of League are very quite active in the area and would love to know of anyone who might need help, assistance or a hospital or nursing home visit.
