Nambucca Heads paramedic Steve Fraser says although movement is slow, contact is ongoing with the NSW Premier’s Office regarding their pay dispute.
“We are getting messages from the Premier’s Department that negotiations are moving ahead and a decision regarding the position of insurance for ambulance officers is pending,” Steve said.
“There is no indication of any problems and we are hopeful that a formal offer will be on the table by the end of this week following a decision by the cabinet.”
The dispute began in August last year when changes to paramedic working agreements came into effect, leaving them worse off than police and other emergency services workers.
