Due to the extreme threatened weather conditions, the field was disappointingly down a bit from recent weeks.
Warren Gallop (8 handicap) revelled in the heat to take out the event in a four-way play-off on 39 points. Warren was one of only two players to improve over the back nine. Most others wilted, including this columnist, who obviously should have stayed home.
Nominate now for ambrose
Front nine winner was Rod Curtis with Ray Bowering continuing his recent trophy hunt to take out the back nine.
Allan Clarke (who else) claimed the A Grade nearest the pin, Steve Ellis narrowly claimed the B Grade and no C Grader hit the target. The extra nearest the pins shots went to: A Grade - Allan Clarke, Steve Ellis took out the B Grade and Shane Langley collected the C grade.
Thursday's stableford event as won by Steve Hosking.
This Saturday's event is a three man ambrose sponsored by Master Hire of Mackaville Industrial Estate. Time sheet is at the club.
