And there were a few surprises with two hole-in-ones during the round. Glen Crow got his ace on the 5th hole, then Paul Ryan went ditto on the 18th to take out the money shot. Not satisfied with that Paul also took out the 13th pizza hole just to ensure he had food for the celebration.
Other nearest the pins went to Dave Rosser on three, Eddy Penrose the 7th, Mark (Shark) McFaul the 8th, with Rod Robertson taking out Stu’s Ball at the 15th.
Winners in division 1 was also a surprise with Phil Frost (16 handicap) 42 points followed by a bigger surprise Peter Bush (15) 39 points, both players at long odds to come up with the goods. In division 2 Garry Roach (24) had a round of 38 to get the countback from Andrew Johnston (21). Good form was also shown by Ralph Taylor, Steve Frost, Linnie Street, and Warren Fuller, all with 37 points. With scores of 36 points were Robert Cooney, Neil Duffus, Barrie Nicholson, Jim Barrie and Dennis Ashton.

Steve Ryan and Noel Gaddes also had a round of 61.25 but not a good countback.
