From Tuesday northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane on a one kilometre section of the highway, about two kilometres north of Eungai Station Rd.
Roads and Maritime will carry out emergency tree clearing and further geotechnical investigations to ensure the stability of the embankment is maintained along this section of the highway.
To allow safe access to complete this emergency work, the left-hand lane of the highway will be closed until the work is completed and the stability of the embankment is confirmed.
The speed limit will be reduced to 80km/h through this section of highway.
Road users are asked to follow the direction of traffic controllers, keep to the reduced speed limits and follow traffic signs and lights when displayed.
Up to date information, including any changes to work dates will be displayed on electronic message signs along nearby roads and highway.
Roads and Maritime thanks the community for its patience as this important work is carried out.
