With a light breeze keeping things friendly, a big crowd was building – from nans and pops to babes – to celebrate the season and community.
The band pumped out the tried and true, while the energetic army of youngsters, perhaps energised by the ice cream truck, played bullrush across the old disused grass green at the Nambucca Heads Bowling Club.
Young families were in abundance, in a terrific event put on by the club.
