Melinda Pavey said Regional Jobs Now, an initiative of Jobs for NSW, offers products which will provide much-needed financial support to help companies accelerate their growth and create jobs.
“The Regional Jobs Now initiative provides businesses in the Oxley electorate with options for funding at different stages of expansion,” Mrs Pavey said.
“Businesses are invited to apply for the funding through Jobs for NSW who will then help them apply for the most suitable Regional Jobs Now product.
“Applications will be assessed against all products so if a business is not eligible for one product it might be eligible for another."
Regional NSW plays a critical role in our economy and that’s why the Government is investing a minimum of 30 per cent - at least $57 million - of the $190 million Jobs for NSW Fund to support entrepreneurs who can create regional jobs growth.
The Regional Jobs Now package provides five different financial products intended to meet the needs of businesses at different critical stages of their development.
- Regional businesses are encouraged to tell us what they need and we help them apply for the most suitable Regional Jobs Now product.
- This ‘concierge’ style approach is a key part of how this integrated package is being rolled out.
- Applications will be assessed against all products so if a business is not eligible for one product it may be eligible for another.
- Expressions of interest (EOI) for the Regional Solutions financial support product open today and close on 9 December 2016. Further information is available at: https://www.jobsfornsw.com.au
Minister for Regional Development, Skills and Small Business John Barilaro welcomed the Jobs For NSW initiative which would complement the NSW Government efforts.
“As Members of Parliament representing regional communities, we know that country NSW is a fantastic place to live, work and play,” Mr Barilaro said.
“The NSW Government is making sure that regional NSW has access to the best roads, schools and hospitals through investing $13 billion in our first term and now investing $6 billion in our second term under Rebuilding NSW,” he said.
“Our record investment is underpinning record business confidence, strong private sector investment and job creation to unleash the potential of regional NSW.
“Regional Jobs Now will help align our efforts to significantly grow regional centres to become accelerators for jobs growth and investment in the future.”
