The Nambucca Heads Uniting Church and the Uniting Community Care invite the public to the official opening of the Nambucca Heads Growing Together Community Garden today from 10am to noon, at the back of the Old Fire Station corner Ridge and Lee Streets, Nambucca Heads.

The opening will show and explain the various features and components of the garden and will include activities for children.
FIREWORKS
The Valla Beach Tourist Park Hot Rod Run hosted by the Drag-ens Hot Rod club will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of this run this year. To mark such an historic, world record event we have organised a fireworks display to be shown in the tourist park this Friday night between 8pm and 9pm.
BOWRAVILLE THEATRE
Barbara Furneyvall reports – Bowraville Theatre will screen Absolutely Fabulous, the movie, at 2pm on Sunday, October 2.
Publicist Edina Monsoon and best friend Patsy Stone are still shopping, drinking and clubbing. While attending an elite party, they wind up knocking supermodel Kate Moss into the River Thames.

WAR WIDOWS GUILD SOCIAL CLUB
The next meeting will be a barbecue lunch river cruise between 11.30am and 2.30pm on Monday, October 10. You may bring a friend however, please arrive by 11.15am.
The cruise will coincide with the birth date (19.8.1897) of Jesse Vasey, founder of the War Widows Guild.

NEIL DIAMOND TRIBUTE SHOW
'Neil Diamond - the Man, The Music' is a tribute to the man himself presented by multi-award winning singer/songwriter and entertainer Craig Stewart, at South Arm Hall, South Arm Road on Saturday, October 15, 8pm sharp.

UHA MACKSVILLE

Bowraville Central School is holding a Community Connection follow-up meeting on Tuesday, November 15 to determine a plan for 2017.
The aim is to set common goals and expand our connections within the community. Feel free to invite other relevant agencies. Start is 4pm with light refreshments provided at 5.45pm at the conclusion.
