The Sunday morning saw some rain and they had to play a Queensland team in the final. It was goal for goal in the first two chukkas, but the northern horses handled the wet conditions better to get the result.
The Macksville players were Jenny and Terry Donnelly, Chris Bourke, Rob Perkins, Trevor Lynch and an ex-Macksville player, Alan Waugh. It was great to see Trevor back on the field after 13 years away from it and he hasn’t lost his touch!
Congratulations to Jenny who won best lady player and Rob who won best No.2 player.
To finish the Polox season off, Laura Dempster and Fraser Donnelly exchanged vows on Saturday on their property at Taylor’s Arm with guests from far away places including New Zealand. The weather was spectacular, the bride and bridesmaids absolutely beautiful, the groom and groomsmen dashing and a great afternoon and night was had by all.
