Their 30-22 win against the Macksville Sea Eagles in Saturday’s elimination round has ignited the flame and now the young side are eager to prove they are worthy of a shot at the premiership.
Although it’s understood Saturday wasn’t the typical fiery match that local derbies are renowned for, it was an entertaining game due to the fact the lead kept swapping. There was never more than a couple of points between the two teams.
“Everything was pretty positive on the weekend but we really just need to forget about last weeks game and move on to this weeks,” fullback Willy Baker told the Guardian.
The red, white and blue side takes on the Grafton Ghosts, yet again, for a place in the big one at Geoff King Motors Park in Coffs Harbour on Sunday.
The game will kick off at 11:30am.
“I’m pretty confident in myself and the boys for a win but we just can't underestimate Grafton,” Willy said.
“They’ve been a strong team all year.”
