Allan Clarke (scratch) took out his 28th championship of the club, a fantastic effort to stay that competitive over many years.
New A Grader Jeff Gore took out the A Grade nett championship. Max Ward finally mastered the putter to a degree to take out the B Grade gross and nett championship. Noel Austin took out the C Grade championship with Shane Langley taking out the nett prize. Well done to all the winners.
Saturday's A Grade stroke round was won by Jeff Gore (12) who returned 71 nett. Jim Wilkes (13) won B Grade with 69 nett while Shane Langley (29) continued his fine recent form to again take out C Grade. Shane has been a regular prize winner of late and the handicapper will no doubt be taking a keen interest.
Max Turner had a top front nine to take that prize with Michael Simpson coming home strong to win the back.
Nearest the pin shots this week proved difficult with only Troy Grace (B Grade) able to strike the target.
Thursday's stableford event was won by Phil Evans in a countback from Jeff Gore with Allan Clarke claiming the nearest the pin.
Saturday's event will be a fourball stableford multiplier sponsored by Tony and Sue Adams.
