The event this year will be on Friday, August 26, and as usual will see daffodils and other Cancer Council merchandise for sale up and down Bowra St.
Now in its 11th year, Robert’s Daffodil Day has a proud history, having raised over $100,000 so far, including an astonishing $14,000 last year alone!
Staff said there would be the popular Daffodil 100 Club with the chance to win $300 cash and the balance of $1000 going to cancer research.
As well there will be the monster raffle, for which donations are still most welcome. Business houses wishing to donate can either drop items into the Bowra St office or ring for collection.
On Daffodil Day itself, there will be the usual main street barbeque starting with breakfast and continuing to 4pm. Valla Beach Butchery and Wild Terra Bakery have once again come on board with sausages and bread.
