Valla Beach Community Association
The AGM of the Valla Beach Community Association will be at the Valla Beach Community Hall on Monday at 7pm.
Anyone with other matters they wish to raise at the Meeting are asked to notify secretary Melvyn Best on 6569-6736 or president John Windmill on 6569-6886, prior to the meeting. Any motion from the floor should be prepared prior to the meeting.
All Valla residents are encouraged to attend the VBCA Committee meetings to support the development of your community, and Volunteer to help on the Sub Committees

Roma Lock reports – UHA Macksville Branch will hold their meeting on Monday, July 18 at 9.30am in the Chapel at Macksville Hospital. Followed by their annual general meeting.

Pat Chapman reports – the next meeting is on Monday at 10am at Cex Urunga. The next outing is on Monday, July 25 for Christmas in July at the Midcoast Motel at Macksville.

Macksville Probus Club
Lynne Whyte reports – the next meeting will be on Thursday, July 21 at 9.30am at Macksville Country Club.
Anyone wishing to join our meeting will be made most welcome. Our outing on July 27 will celebrate Christmas in July at Macksville Country Club where Charmian’s Kitchen will prepare a ‘Christmas Lunch’ from noon. Numbers required by meeting.

Nambucca River Combined Probus
Helen Kirkpatrick reports – our next meeting will be on Thursday, July 21 at 9.30am in the Nambucca Heads Golf Club.

Trash and Treasure market
Liz Kiley reports – Nambucca Valley Craft & Art will hold another Trash and Treasure market and Car Boot sale at Macksville Showground on Saturday, July 30 from 8am till approx 2pm.
There will be a sausage sizzle, bacon and egg sandwiches, yummy cakes and slices for morning tea.
There will be embroidered towels, hand made jewelry, plants and bric a brac.
Entertainment will be provided by the Nambucca Valley Band.

Bowraville UHA
Isabelle Hooper reports – The next meeting of Bowraville UHA will see a change of venue as we meet at the Bowraville Recreation Club on Friday, July 22.
The meeting will be preceded by a Soup and Slice luncheon at 12pm with the general meeting to follow.
Sundays at the movies
The Bowraville Arts council presents The Jungle Book at Bowraville Theatre from 2pm.

Nambucca Valley Cancer Support Group Inc
Irene Rowsell reports – the Nambucca Head RSL Club, in conjunction with the Valla VW Spectacular, will hold a “High T” at the club on Wednesday, July 27 at 10am onwards. This event is fully sponsored by the club, with proceeds going to the Nambucca Valley Cancer Support Group Inc.
Admission $10 per head, raffle tickets will be on sale at $10 each.
Entertainment by the Vallerinas, Shane Pennington and more. There will also be a Millers fashion parade.

Sue Kempton reports – Our luncheon will be on July 25 at the Nambucca Heads Bowling Club at 11.30am. Special guest will be our Zone Councillor, Cecilia Bayliss. Our theme for this meeting is winter warmers, so please bring along your bed socks, beanies, PJs etc. A prize will be given for the best item.
