Those who do finally succeed and get approved under Australia’s unfunded Humanitarian Visa Program are provided with an interest-free Sanctuary travel loan. Once settled, the recipient gradually repays their airfare loan, and the money is then ‘recycled’ to assist other suffering refugees.

Families are welcomed and helped to settle with the ongoing support of Sanctuary, an independent charity working without Government funding.
