Emergency services were alerted to the incident about 5.30am at North Macksville when it is alleged a 26-year-old male driver crossed to the incorrect side of the roadway and collided with a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
After speaking with the driver, police became increasingly suspicious of the man’s behaviour and subsequently searched the car.
A quantity of various drugs were located and seized including 165 pills believed to be ecstacy, eight grams of methamphetamine (ice) and two bags of cannabis.
The drugs have an estimated street value of $7000.
The accused man was arrested and later charged at Macksville Police Station with drug supply and possession offences and granted bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on June 15.
