And while memorials to the children have been unveiled in Bowraville and Tenterfield and health support has been improved in the communities, justice still has not been done.
“We are all feeling pretty frustrated and disappointed - yet again,” family representative Leonie Duroux told the Guardian yesterday.
“The parliamentary committee did a brilliant job and there were all these recommendations but the Government has not followed through.
“And we are still waiting for justice.”
Next Thursday, May 5, the families will once again gather in Sydney to make their presence felt. Anyone interested is invited to join them at the Hyde Park Fountain at 10.30am as they continue their 26-year-long fight for justice for their children who were brutally murdered.
