This is the first time the younger students have been on an excursion far from home.
It was action packed on arrival as students went rock climbing at Crank (pictured left). The children did not let fear get in their way as they climbed to the top!
Lights were out early on the first night as the kids prepared for a big day ahead.
Heading into Southbank, students made their way to the Brisbane Art Gallery. Here they were amazed by the pieces of art, some hundreds of years old.
Next stop was the Brisbane Museum, where students saw some interesting creatures.
After the museum it was on to the Science centre where the kids could have stayed for hours, learning about how different things worked.
But the day still wasn’t over, as students walked to South Bank and went for a swim at the man-made beach - despite unpleasant weather.
This excursion was such a great experience for the students, bringing the curriculum to life and giving them memories that they won’t forget in a hurry!
Quote of the week goes to the Year 3 student who stated emphatically on the way home that this had been “the BEST three days of her life”!
The whole stage and staff agreed!
