Always different - always fresh, the students are keen for people to come and see the fascinating fruits of their workshop labours.
One of the team, Valla’s Tracey Sutor, is now in her second year and told the Guardian the course had been life-changing.
“Before I started this I had never used a screw-driver,” Tracey said.
“I am absolutely loving it - it challenges me all the time and my learning curve has been more that exponential because I was starting from a zero base.”
Tracey said she and her fellow students (four women and five men) had been under the patient care of fine-furniture maker Bim Morton and other tutors.
“Its amazing learning what can be done with wood - and I do push the limits because I don’t know what the limits are.”
The exhibition opens tomorrow night in Coffs Central, 5.30-7.30pm.
It will remain in situ until noon on Friday, October 30, open daily between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
