ROADS and Maritime Services advises motorists controlled open cut blasting will take place today and on Friday for the Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads Pacific Highway upgrade.

The rock blasts are scheduled from 1pm to 1.30pm between Lower Warrell Creek and Bald Hill roads on Mondayand between Scotts Head and Bald Hill roads on Friday, weather permitting.
Residents will be notified before each controlled blast and electronic message signs will advise motorists in advance of blasting dates and times.
Motorists can expect delays of up to 15 minutes on the Pacific Highway and on local roads during the controlled blasts with traffic control in place for motorists’ safety.
The Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads upgrade will deliver 20 kilometres of four lane divided highway and is due for completion in 2017.
