Tucked away on Railway St, the huge space, decorated with colourful artworks by clients, offers the perfect place to bring parents and their independent offspring together to relax and socialise all in the name of the cancer cause.
Event co-organiser Anama Tesser said the organisation supported the Cancer Council's May fundraising push because "there really are not many of us who are not touched by cancer".
"The morning tea is also an opportunity for the community to join us and our clients to socialise - for many it is a chance to be with their adult children. It is also a chance to offer support to other community services," Anama said.
Parents Diane and Kerry Sindell said they were enjoying seeing their son Barry among his friends and were also "glad to be able to support the support network".
