THE NAMBUCCA Valley made history on Saturday with around 5000 people gathering in Bowraville for the ANZAC Day Centenary commemoration march and service.

Of the 5000, close to 1500 participated in the March including schools students, armed with Australian flags, hats, and name badges and of fallen soldiers from the area, Red Cross, FRNSW and RFS brigades, SES, VRA, sub branches, police, Salvation Army ... and many other organizations.
The march, although only brief, from the Bowraville RSL to the town's Cenotaph saw many line the street clapping and cheering as the procession passed.
With no room left to move, the march crowd dispersed and the official ceremony began, followed by the laying of the wreaths, speeches, prayers, and The Ode.
