Today was 'locals day' with many shire residents taking advantage of the chance to see if they had won any ribbons in the pavilion.
Others were there making up the army of volunteers that keep it all rolling every year.
Tomorrow, Saturday, things really hot up as side show alley welcomes the brave and crazy and don't forget the Grand Parade and official opening at 1pm - special guest is actor Bryan Brown.
