Seven teams contested the carnival from the opens to the under 11s development squad.
The opens side came out firing after a horrendous pre-season to win six of their eight games.
“Our only loss was to Port opens - and we still played well, holding our own,” assistant coach Brianna Dallas told the Guardian.
“There was some very good court play throughtout the day considering it was our first carnival and first time playing together as a team.
“I think as the season goes on we will get more comfortable as a team and have a very good chance at coming out on top at State.”
