Netanyahu surges to 'great victory' in Israel election

Jerusalem: With almost all votes counted, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing Likud party has pulled decisively ahead in Israel's bitterly contested election, winning an estimated 30 seats compared to its nearest rival, the centre-left Zionist Union's 24-seat haul.
