Coaches are putting the finishing touches to a record number of representative teams from the Macksville club - eight in all from Under 10s through 12s, 14s and 18s in both boys and girls divisions.
All teams have competed in lead up events at Taree and Ballina and performed above expectations.
The Junior State Cup is the largest representative Touch Football event in the world with a massive 331 teams competing and an anticipated attendance of 17,000 converging on the complex each day.
Also on offer over the weekend for the 14, 16 and 18 divisions is the opportunity to catch the eye of selectors to be part of the Northern Eagles rep teams to participate in the Junior Regional Championships to be held at Penrith in April. As this is a pathway program, NSW selection will be up for grabs at Penrith.
The Macksville Association have put an enormous amount of work into developing junior players and referees and the Falcons were last year awarded the Northern Eagles affiliate and association of the year (the area extends from Forster to the Queensland border and west to Tamworth and Narrabri.
