With construction having started in November last year, the large metal pole is now standing atop a hill on Cody’s Rd.
This however is only stage one of the process.
Now come the details such as connecting electricity to the site, putting up the antennas and then testing and fine-tuning the technology.
Grant Thomas from NBN Co told the Guardian that construction was continuing and residents could expect the service to be switched on “mid this year”.

“It will change everything,” he said.
“It will mean I can work from home which has not been possible before - it will be a real game changer.”
