More than 600 entries have been received - from Port, Coffs, Sawtell, Dorrigo, Laurieton, Forster, Crescent Head, The Swimming Academy (TSA), Kempsey and Taree.
Marlins president Dianne Wall said the carnival was an opportunity to showcase the club, the Macksville Memorial Aquatic Centre and the town.
With an eight lane pool, competition blocks and the recent acquisition of electronic starting equipment and timing system, the Marlins expect to see some fast times recorded this weekend.
Swimming North Coast (SNC) technical officials will be in attendance so competitors will be able to use their times to meet qualification criteria for SNC Championships, NSW Country, NSW State Age and national meets.
The Marlins will be well represented with 43 members taking to the water. Some will compete for their first time at this level, with the youngest swimmer being five years old. Seasoned competitors will strive for qualifying times with the SNC Championships scheduled in early December.
The action in the pool starts at 9am and the Marlins would like to acknowledge the support of the local business community who have generously sponsored events, and Nambucca Shire Council for the upgrades at the pool complex.
