They participated at the Country Championships in June at Armidale while representing the Mid North Coast.
Both boys are members of the grand final winning U18 Bowraville Goannas team for 2014.
In addition to their rugby, both the lads are also long term Bowraville Junior Rugby League members, Group 2 representatives and played for Macksville Sea Eagles U18 team this year. Joel has also been invited to tour the USA in October 2015, as part of an Australian Indigenous side.
They will tour Singapore and Hong Kong in April 2015. The trip will cost both boys $4700. The pair is held in high regard by the clubs they represent, and are excellent ambassadors to be not only representing their rugby club, but the communities of the Nambucca and Bellinger valleys.
n There will be a trivia night to raise funds for the boys’ trip on Friday, November 14 on the verandah at the Bowraville Hotel. The cost of entry is $10. If you are able to provide support for the trivia night, contact Lynda Shrubb on 0414 275-137.
