A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital following a crash at Upper Taylor's Arm near Macksville on Sunday.

About 5pm, the 19-year-old man was driving a Toyota Camry west along Taylors Arm Road when he lost control on a bend and hit several trees.
The man was ejected from the vehicle and thrown down an embankment while the car flipped and landed on top of him.
A witness came to his aid and contacted emergency services with police and paramedics attending.
The man was freed from the underneath the vehicle about an hour later and was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
He has sustained numerous injuries including a fractured arm, a punctured sternum, burns, lacerations and head injuries.
Police from the Mid North Coast Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the crash and will speak to the man when his condition improves.
They urge anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the Toyota Camry travelling along Taylor's Arm Road to contact police.
