AFTER plenty of fun and games which included a trip to zoo, feasting and shopping, students from Bowraville Central School “got down to business” and took part in the Central Schools State Knockout netball carnival in Dubbo.

The girls in the under 16s side demonstrated commitment and teamwork down to the last second of every game.
“I am so proud of the effort and excellent sportsmanship that every single one of the players demonstrated,” Ms Magill said.
The side placed third in their division.
“Our last day in Dubbo was always going to be the toughest day of competition,” Ms Magill said.
“With over half of the team backing up from the day before and only two fresh new players, I was concerned that the girls, some injured and hurting from playing all day Thursday, would not last the day.
“But ... there was absolutely no need for me to be concerned. The girls demonstrated outstanding motivation and dedication to every single game. Even with injuries they did not back down. Our defence was unbeatable and our attackers unstoppable.
The team in the opens division placed second.
