It is alleged the man sustained a facial injury after being struck by a baseball bat. The victim was taken to hospital where he underwent major surgery to his jaw.

Four people were arrested in Nambucca Heads shortly after the incident and taken to Macksville Police Station.

A 19-year-old man and two women, aged 22 and 28, were charged with a number of offences. A third woman was released without charge.
