Brigade members received the call just after 11am and everything was well under control an hour later.
The fire was one of two in the Nambucca Shire on Monday.
The other one was at Warrell Creek, where a tree fell across power lines on Browns Crossing Rd. The local Eungai brigade was in attendance.
RFS Nambucca/Kempsey Zone Superintendent Lachlann Ison said the lack of decent rain in September meant conditions were once again dry.
"We are rating the fire danger for today (Tuesday) and tomorrow 'very high' and have suspended fire permits for the next two days," Lachlann told the Guardian.
He reminded people to prepare their homes and refresh their fire plans for the fire season ahead.
