The excursion complemented studies of the human and animal kingdoms.
While the whales did not venture up close to the boat, distant sightings of whales breaching and flukes waving were a sight.
The real delight of the day was the appearance of four dolphins who performed for the students, diving and riding in the wake of the catamaran.
It was a wonderful experience to see these wild dolphins up close and for the students to have this experience which was connected to their learning. At Tallowood, all learning is experiential and this helps create real meaning for our students.
