EVERY Thursday two or three ladies bring their pots of home-made soup to St. John's Church hall in Nambucca Heads.

They are joined by more dedicated ladies and gentlemen, who heat the soup, butter the bread, prepare the special ‘sweet, treat’ and decorate the tables.
The ‘soup flag’ is planted outside to invite folk to come in and enjoy a steaming bowl of soup and a chat with helpers and guests.
We would like you to know the soup lunch is free, open to everyone with no strings attached and there are smiles all round.
One week there were 17 guests. The helpers thought it was going to be like The Pub with no Beer, but to everyone’s delight the soup kept coming.
With the gentle leadership of Ros and Fred Johnson, this is the second year ‘Soup Lunch’ has been reaching out into the community with the love of Jesus, to warm the cockles of your heart.
