This important milestone, feted in Bowraville last Wednesday, was graced with the presence of the new bishop, the Right Reverend Doctor Sarah Macneil, who is herself noteworthy, being the first female bishop in Australia to lead a diocese in her own right.
Around 100 parishioners turned out for a delicious high tea to both mark the centenary and welcome the bishop, who only arrived in March.
