The SLS MNC Branch covers the eight surf lifesaving clubs of Camden Haven, Wauchope Bonny Hills, Tacking Point, Port Macquarie, Kempsey-Crescent Head, Hathead, South West Rocks and Macksville-Scotts Head.
Many life members attended the evening including ‘Chalkie Bob’ Smith OAM, Max Waters OAM, Dennis O’Sullivan, Bruce Caldwell, John Vipond and Ken Wilson.
SLS Mid North Coast director of administration Joanne Hawkins organised the glittering occasion and deserves congratulations for her outstanding efforts. Tony Hayes OAM and life member of SLS NSW did a great job as master of ceremonies for the evening. Tony also presented branch registrar Bruce Caldwell with a 40 years of Officiating Award.

Facilitator of the Year Paul Rayner (Port Macquarie).
Administrator of the Year Joanne Hawkins (Tacking Point).
Coach of the Year Dave Rickwood (Tacking Point).
Young Athlete of the Year Lachlan Hawkins (Tacking Point), Athlete of the Year Troy Wilkinson (Wauchope Bonny Hills), Masters Athlete of the Year Raelene Myers (Tacking Point).
Team of the Year Branch Support Operations and Initiative of the Year Wauchope Bonny Hills.
Club of the Year Macksville-Scotts Head.
Young Lifesaver of the Year Jess Rayner (Port Macquarie), Rookie of the Year Geraldine Clarke (Wauchope Bonny Hills).

These winners will now be nominated for the NSW Awards of Excellence to be held in Sydney on August 16.
