This year is no exception with the 102nd show opening its gates to the community in two weeks time, Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3.
Boasting a brand new website, which launches the event into the modern age of multimedia for all forms and program information, there is still no substitute for the traditional fun of being ringside to watch the woodchop, the cattle judging and the horses or cruising side show alley with a packet of fairy floss.
Nambucca River Agricultural Society president Michael Ettelson reminds everyone that Friday is 'Locals Day' when all the culinary and creative efforts of residents are freshly displayed in the pavilion and judging of livestock is in full swing.
"And on Friday night we have the 'family invitation camp draft', which should be a lot of fun," Mr Ettelson said.
The momentum gathers on Saturday as the axes swing ever faster and the horses jump ever higher, culminating in the evening finale that features a junior rodeo, fireworks and the demolition derby.
"There will also be the non-stop action of the mini motorbikes and the special post-cutting woodchop challenge."
